Of course I have to blog about a place I have never been before. There are many places I have never been actually...the beach, Disney World, the Mid West, West Coast, Statue of Liberty....the list could go on forever. BUT in the dark dressing room at Jacques Penney I went somewhere I have never been before.....a size 6!
I went out on a venture for a dress for our 13th wedding anniversary on Valentines Day. I found no dresses I liked, I don't like dresses anyway. So I went for my FAVORITE clothing choice~ jeans. I picked up several on sale pairs of 8's and off I went to try them on. Would you believe they were TOO BIG? I was like, you must be kidding me! So I went out and replaced with 6's. Voila! Here I am in the horrid lighting I try to avoid looking at myself thinking, "why do I think I am so fat?" I look pretty good in here.
*Please note that I do not own a full length mirror, and my current mirror seems to stop right at my baby area, making me always see the negative. Not that I have low self esteem or anything.*
I try the 2 sizes on over and over making sure they are really on my body, and the tag does indeed say 6....they must have thought I was shoplifting I was in there so long!
I call my BFF to tell her the good news. She replied, "you suck". Friends.
I went to another store. No money to buy more clothes, just curious. Picked up a 6, headed for the dressing room. Ta Da! They were super cute too. sigh.
I came home, tried on my new jeans (did I mention they were a size 6?) did a lot of size 6 happy dancing for my hubby, drove the kids insane and ate a little cake~ hey I am not a robot fitness person, AND I make super delicious cake. Trust me. 78 pounds can't mean I am a bad cook! I still made it for calories anyway...but the cake made me sugar high, so I worked out. See, I am not all bad!
Did I mention I was a size 6??? Six must be my lucky number! 6 kids, size 6. WOW! See~ I can have my cake and eat it too!!!!
But please, do not call me skinny! :)
Aha! Here I sit in my size 8 jeans - just finishing the FOURTH piece of YOUR cake - ZERO kids to blame for my jelly roll. Does that mean I should be a size zero? Hehe
