Mid-Year Changes

I have spent much of my break evaluating what I want to keep and change in our little homeschool. Surprisingly, I found that only non-academic things needed changing. I needed to get my OCD on!

I did some rearranging, taking our little people table and moving it into the living room, leaving only the big table in the classroom. I cleaned out the bookcase and cabinets, getting rid of things we didn't use the first semester. We took the school-ish decorations off the walls gave the room a fresh coat of paint, and refinished the new homemade chalkboard (which was very bumpy and really not usable).

Somewhere in the midst of Lowes I lost my mind and ordered up some pretty paint for our bathroom and bedroom. (My husband LOVES me for that one!) As of this moment~the class is done except for the trim on the chalkboard, which needs painted. The bathroom is done, and one bedroom wall. Today I went upstairs to find something and found the playroom is chaos and cleaned that too. (Like the kids will let it stay clean.)

Now I am behind on laundry and my lesson plans for the week. I may just wing it on the lesson plans. The laundry I am sure will do itself~ afterall~ I must make time for Rockband!!!

  1. Yeah, when you're on tour, its hard to keep up with the housework. Hey, look, there's Leah's microphone on the floor! Its not lost after all!
