The Chalkboard

We decided to make our own chalkboard....we priced them and they were way too expensive. We bought some plywood, primer, chalkboard paint, trim and Liquid Nails. The plywood was cut at Lowes, giving me one big (4' x 6') and one small (2' x 4) chalkboard.
















There was much fun with primer...













Everyone got a turn.



























Then I decided to give it a go, and got paint all over my jeans.









We got it in time, luckily my jeans already have that faded look anyway...





I left the black paint to the painter of the house!

Time to prime the chalkboard~ with chalk!
It is a little bumpy, Rick says Lowes idea of project ready falls short, and he is considering sanding it down and repainting. For now we just need to figure out how to get it on the wall before Christmas break is over!
