Less Me
Scripture:
“Whoever exalts himself will be humbled, and whoever humbles himself will be exalted.” Matthew 23:12
Observation:
We are to be humble.
Application:
We are not to be like the Pharisees: “For they preach, but do not practice.” (v.3) and “They do all their deeds to be seen by others.” (v.5).
The only thing we should seek is the reward of Heaven. I need to strive for the most humble and honest heart. “So you also outwardly appear righteous to others, but within you are full of hypocrisy and lawlessness.” (v.28)
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, I never want in any way to resemble one of the Pharisees. Please help me to daily evaluate my heart health, and make changes accordingly. Help me to lift up others, not self. Amen.
