Some may think that anything including 6 children would have a downside, but we don't. We don't mind having a gas hog for a car with a payment to match. We don't mind needing two shopping carts every week at the Super Center. We don't mind the looks and "Bless Your Heart" that really mean "I think you're nuts". What we do mind is the stomach flu.
It started with Leah on Sunday. She puked on my treadmill. She was not well for days. Then on Thursday Emma starts in. Friday was Evan's turn and to top it off Noah has "wicked bad" strep as the Pediatrician called it. Rick was sick too, just not as bad as the kids. So my normally organized existence becomes flu war zone. Puke buckets, washing of puke clothes. Kids camped out on couches, which in turn makes for need of washing slipcovers for said couches. Trips to the store to refill baby wipes and Clorox. Not to mention having little or no ability to make your little ones feel better!
SO when I made it to today and no puke for me, Rick and I rallied together with the super size Clorox bottle and have sanitized the whole house. I pray that this will be the end of it. If not, at least the house smells good!
