Last summer I took on the B90Day Challenge, the one where you read the ENTIRE Bible in 90 days, blog about it, and join other readers in thought provoking discussion via Twitter. It was truly life changing! I know there are those who don’t think you could ever do that, and those who have failed trying to read the Bible in one year, let alone 90 days. Let me challenge you to pray about it and dive in anyway!
I am super busy. I was unsure of whether I could do it . I realized in the first week that my priorities needed to change, and I started with waking up earlier. As a result I not only got my Bible reading done every morning, the rest of my day went much better as well.
We make time and place for the things that are a priority for us. How much time do you give our Father everyday? The reading only takes about an hour a day. Do you have an hour for Him? It will do wonders for YOU!
I will also be a mentor this time around, and can’t wait to help encourage others, as I was encouraged this summer. Especially helpful was the Twitter group, not only for daily accountability, but for the weekly chats, where Amy engaged us in meaningful discussion. I barely use Twitter on the off season, and can’t wait to join back up with my new pals!
If you have even an inkling of a desire to do this, or you tried last time and didn’t make it- come sign up!!
There is a new sign up page over at Mom’s Toolbox. Amy has everything you need to get ready over there. We have a little over a month before the next session starts, and I encourage you to pray about it. Pray for Amy-she gives so much of herself to help others complete this challenge-and she prays for you too. If you aren’t ready to commit today, pray about that too! And if you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to email me, or leave a comment, and I will be happy to help you!
I am looking forward to being a mentor this time around as well! Glad to see you are joining in too! :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing this with your readers... and for asking them to pray about it and for me. I tremendously appreciate that.
ReplyDeleteAnd thanks, also, for serving as a mentor. You're gonna do a great job!!
I will be praying about joining in January. I don't know if I can do it, but I know these last few months I've been able to increase my reading and I think it would be a fun challenge to carve out more time for God. He is what it is all about.
ReplyDelete(Oh and thanks for the info on the book The Eden Diet. I'm going to have to check the library for that one.)
