Day Six, My sweet husband~
Since I just had a long sappy post about him, I will spare you. I love that man!! Thank you for being you!
Day Seven, Family to clean-up after~
Sunday morning I was trying my best to tidy the house from the whirlwind of kid activity while we readied ourselves for worship. I started to get stressed. And then it hit me. Some homes are perfectly clean at all times-with a wife just praying for a child to mess it all up. I am thankful for this noisy, messy, home full of blessing we have been allowed to borrow.
Day Eight, HEAT~
One thing I miss about those many pounds I lost, warm fat layer! I am so cold now! My fingers and toes never warm up. I am so thankful for warm, streaming, heat.
Day Nine, brave Americans~
I have been very moved by watching President George W. Bush on the interview circuit this week. He loves our country, and the Americans living in it. He kept us safe, admits his imperfection, did the best he could with the situations he was given, and is a brave American. I believe history will look favorably on him.
Day Ten, Prayer~
What would our lives be without it? We have the constant ability to come to our Father, and share our worries, concerns, joys, and sorrows. Just like any best friend, He already knows what we are going through, but is always there to listen.
Day Eleven, Veterans~
They risk and lose their lives to keep us safe and free. We live in an amazing place, full of exceptionally brave men and women. They do a job I could not do, and I am grateful everyday.
It is funny to me that I have always considered myself a very thankful person, but the act of writing just ONE THING down everyday has made me stop and realize I need to be more thankful. As we grow as Christians, we should be growing and getting better day by day.
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18 ESV
