B90 Challenge Day 2

Today’s reading was great! As I was reading along I wrote down a few verses of interest.

Genesis 18:1: The Lord visited Abraham! I have read this passage many times and knew that, but I read it today and this time it just hit me! Abraham ate with Jesus! How awesome!

I wonder if we will ever eat with Jesus?

Genesis 20:18: For the LORD had closed all the wombs of the house of Abimelech because of Sarah, Abraham's wife. (ESV)

I thought, How long were they there?? To me it seemed like they would have been there long enough for all of the women to notice no one was conceiving. After I looked in several commentaries I had an answer. They were suffering from some kind of disease that made them unable to be intimate at all.

I was able to do all of my reading in one sitting again this morning, although I am sure with 6 children I will not have that ability every day of this challenge, I am grateful for the time alone with the Lord so far.
