WOW! What a great blessing this challenge has been! I am learning much and feeling very blessed to still be on track, with homeschooling and all of the other things that need to be done in life. I have found that putting my reading on the schedule first thing in the morning works best. Less is going on and I usually get to complete the reading in one sitting.
I have written down many passages that I want to remember. But for sake of time, I will only mention one humorous one. (To me at least.)
1Sa 17:17 And Jesse said to David his son, "Take for your brothers an ephah of this parched grain, and these ten loaves, and carry them quickly to the camp to your brothers.
1Sa 17:18 Also take these ten cheeses to the commander of their thousand. See if your brothers are well, and bring some token from them."
Have you seen Dave and the Giant Pickle from Veggie Tales? I always wondered why David brought pizzas…in the Bible passage, he was sent with loaves and cheese. Pretty close to pizza in my opinion!
My Daughter loves that movie...in fact, she loves anything Veggie Tales!
ReplyDeleteGood job keeping up with the reading!
God Bless!
