The Homeschool Mother’s Journal- 12

In my life this week...

I had a great week, until I got a UTI. Ugh. I am not used to being sick, and the medicine has made me feel just as bad. {I tried to do the cranberry and water thing, until the pain was unbearable.}

In our homeschool this week...

We finished The Mystery of History Volume 1. We will spend time making a timeline, which we never did with this Volume, for Volume 2 and then jump in to Volume 2.

Places we're going and people we're seeing...

The E.R., wait that was just me…and Tennessee today for my SIL nursing graduation pinning.

My favorite thing this week was...

Doing better with time at the computer, which made for a better flowing day.

What's working/not working for us...

Mom being down is not cool. We have a good flow going with all of our core curriculum though, and I hope to add more extras this summer.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have...

What would you add this summer? We are doing year-round school, with a small break in July for me to regroup.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share...

I am reading The Ministry of Motherhood by Sally Clarkson. I have read through the Bible several times, and this verse somehow never called out to me. I was so glad Sally had this verse in her book:

“A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.” Luke 6:40

This is what I want to cling to, as spiritual training is far more important to us than academics. My example means everything.
