The Homeschool Mother’s Journal

In my life this week...

I have enjoyed the slower pace that winding down the year affords.

In our homeschool this week...

We have taken it easy. Since we are schooling year-round, I am not even worried about finishing our books. We will continue to work through Grammar and Math this summer. {we just started them anyway!}

Places we're going and people we're seeing...

It was cold, rainy, and miserable all week. We went nowhere, except Bible Study.

My favorite thing this week was...

Well, this is technically last week, I was chosen for The TOS Crew! I am super excited to get started, and am looking forward to a wonderful year!

What's working/not working for us...

Being stuck in the house with the heat on. All day. Every day. Ugh.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have...

I am going to try my hardest not to be OCD about the school books. We just moved to Rod and Staff for Grammar, and MUS for Math. Coming from the public branch of education, I feel weird for staying in the same book to continue, but being a home educator is different. The point is that they learn. It isn’t about a level.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share..

This was our verse for the Good Morning Girls group this morning:

 “My son, keep your father's commandment, and forsake not your mother's teaching. Bind them on your heart always; tie them around your neck.
When you walk, they will lead you; when you lie down, they will watch over you; and when you awake, they will talk with you.” Proverbs 6:20-22

How was your week?
