Time Flies…

Next week is the close of our second year of homeschooling. It seems like we just got started!

I was so excited to move from newbie, to veteran homeschooling mom. I have many wonderful women that I have met through blogs, and Twitter, that have helped to become my support, encouragement, and knowledge base for this amazing journey. I am so happy to now have moms coming my way for support and advice. This is an amazing community!

We are concentrating on Science this week, and will continue it in the few weeks we will take for break. We are learning about the Earth, and we also planted a few things to watch grow indoors.

We found these cute kits from Miracle Grow at Walmart, and we decided to give it a go. After three days, I am pleased to report we have growth.

We will likely kill these plants before they will ever need transplanted. I am not good with indoor plants. {sigh}

We will be taking a break for me to gather my copies and plans for the next year, and away we will go back at it. I plan to take 3-4 weeks off. We have done short and long breaks in the past two years, and have quickly learned that long breaks are not good for us.

What Science projects should we try this year? We will be doing Apologia Zoology 1 Flying Creatures of the 5th Day in a few weeks. Maybe butterflies??

I also need to plan a local for new back to school shots.

I. love. homeschooling.
