Tomorrow marks the beginning of the 31 Days to Clean challenge. If you haven’t picked up Sarah Mae’s book, or joined the challenge, I hope you will!
Mary Challenge:
#1 Identify Reasons for Making Home a Haven:
For me, I like a clean home, because I have always been a cleaner. I work best in an uncluttered, pretty space.
I feel nervous in a cluttered space, and at peace in a clean and tidy one.
I enjoy opening my door, with all 6 children at home, and having guests see a welcoming space.
#2 Make a Mission Statement:
I recently made a mission statement for HOMEmaker’s Challenge, it still applies, so I will share it again.
I will follow our family mission statement of God 1st, Others 2nd, Self last. I will be faithful to always provide a place where the love of God is obvious and our family will always remember as full of faith and love.
I will be a dedicated Bible student, both for myself and for my children’s example.
I will strive to make a peaceful and organized home that we are always at peace to be in.
I will be more diligent about my time on the computer, and spend more time on my relationships with God and family.
Martha Challenge:
Look over the Martha challenges, and make a list of supplies:
Would you hate me if I told you that most of this is already done around here? I have a few drawers to go through, and I can always do general purging, but I don’t have a problem with the Martha stuff. I love to purge and organize! I am BFF with Goodwill!
I do have a problem with the Mary stuff, and this is where most of my work will need to be done.
With that said, here is my list of supplies for the 31 days:
1. Steam cleaner recipe
2. Fresh flowers
Ducking now.
I will recap the week on Friday.
