Math Blaster Review and Giveaway

A few weeks ago I was given the opportunity to try Math Blaster, an online learning adventure that teaches math from the makers of Jump-Start.

The music is fun, the virtual world is very cool, and the kids really seem to like it. I am not sure if the kids have figured out that they are learning yet, and keep asking to take a turn. There are up to six players that can be added per account, and after you add your players you can move on to Academy Training.

HyperCycleTopicsIn Zapper Turret Training, you get to pick what facts you want to play with. I chose multiplication, and was then given the choice of products to 16,36,64,100, or 144. You then can choose the level of difficulty.

ZapperTrainingYou then aim for answers to the problem you are given.

B-ForceBlasteentranceThere are also many games available within Math Blaster, like B-Force Blaster. I chose that one to play myself. They clearly show you the difference between the good guys and the bad guys, and who not to aim for.

Let me just say that the kids do a lot better on it than mom does!

GrandPrixrace I also tried Galaxy Grand Prix. I did a little better with that one Winking smile

The fun and personalization are a real plus. My kids all enjoy this game. You can compete with high scores as well, but I don’t think MY name will appear in any of those lists.

There is also a blog, with updates and information. You can visit The Math Blaster Blog here to find out more.

This would be perfect for keeping math facts fresh while you take a summer break, and you can win a three-month membership to do just that!

To enter for a chance to win:

1. Follow The Kelley Ei8ht.

2. “Like” Math Blaster on Facebook.

3. “Like” The Kelley Ei8ht on Facebook.

I will choose the winner next Monday, using Random.org

Good Luck!
