October 3in30 Week 1

My goals for this month are-

1. Stay consistent with homeschool record keeping.

Score one for Sam. I have been doing great with this one, updating grades and dates daily, and filing our schoolwork at the end of the week. I found something new to help the kids help me keep track of their work.

This basket I saw at Big Lots the other day for 9 bucks. I decided not to get it, as I didn’t have a plan for it. I couldn’t find a way to use any other office product to my liking so I went back to get it. It was $4.50 by then! It is easy for the kids to find, and they just slip their work into their folder which lives inside. The purple binder is my homeschool record binder-which is coming in a post very soon about my new binder madness. {This is my desk.}

At the end of the week we simply transfer to the student binders.

2. Wait for the Lord.

He knows better than I do. I just keep telling myself that. So far, I have had much peace. I wasn’t expecting that.

Thank you, Lord, for always having your arms around me.

3. Classroom changes.

I already finished this one!! I finished it last week, while I was thinking about it, the same day I put up the post.

The before-

I love the feel, but need a place for a whiteboard.

The during-

This is why I didn’t want to do this! I knew it would look so bad while we moved four bookcases around!

The after-

It feels a bit less homey, but I have time to work on that. The important thing is I have a whiteboard space!

The white bookcase got moved into the little nook where the other bedrooms and bathroom meet.

This first week of October has gone really well for me. How are your goals coming along?
