Get your passport ready! I have been reviewing the newest installment of unit studies by Amanda Bennett, Passport Geography, which has the addition of Nat Geo Maps. I am really excited about this new offering!
As much as I have enjoyed the Download N Go series, there were was one change I would have made, which has been fixed with this new series. The questions are now written into the lesson, with the suggestion that you use a binder or notebook to answer the questions. This allows more meat on each page, and keeps your study moving smoothly as you go.
As always, helpful links take you back to the lesson while you print and plan. The book and activity list for this series is even more extensive than in previous titles, and there is of course, everything you need to make a lapbook for this study.
In the title Passport United Kingdom, you and your children will travel to~
England, Scotland, North Ireland, and Wales.
Your virtual tour will allow you to see these wonderful sites on your journey~
Buckingham Palace, Westminster Abbey, The Giant’s Causeway, The Roman Baths, and Hadrian’s Wall.
Passport Geography is a unit study, of course, so you will be learning much more than geography! Each day you will learn about a new place, Scripture, special “stops” of fascinating places, fabulous food of the region, a V.I.P., and much more.
The use of the internet allows you to learn much from videos and sites otherwise missed. Even as an adult, I feel completely uncultured when it comes to the rest of this big planet we were blessed with. I am very grateful for people like Amanda, who use their passion to allow our children to know more about the world around them. My children love unit studies, and their mom feels smarter each passing day of homeschool.
