This Bible study challenge has done more for me than keep my Bible from needing dusted between Sunday and Wednesday. It has caused me to look at my daily priorities and see that I was putting last things first in some places, and first things last. I am sometimes a slow study.
When I decided to lose weight I started with the exercise and let the eating come along later. With this challenge I let the Bible be my first priority 64 days ago, but let other things go. Then homeschool started back up. The house was a mess and my brain was a mess.
I have been OVERWHELMED. But the Lord was working!
I sat down and wrote out a timed schedule. I scheduled myself to be awake at a time that I haven’t woken up for since high school. 6 a.m. I prayed about it, because running on a timed schedule is dangerous if you wake up at 9 and you have the list of things to do that I have!
I have been up at 6 for several days now, but I was worried about today. First day to implement the new schedule for school.
I woke up at 4:15. Bible reading done, a.m. chore done, time to email and blog. Thank you Father!
Proud of you! When we plan to do things for God, we are far more motivated to accomplish them! ~S.
ReplyDeleteAwesome! I struggle the same way. Balance is the key, but easier said than done. Sounds like your new schedule is going to go great!
ReplyDeleteI found the same thing! Adding the 90 day Bible challenge to an already full schedule including 2 Bible studies and homeschooling caused me to reprioritize and get up earlier. It was definitely worth it!

That is awesome! I was the same way about putting the non important stuff first and then the important one last. But after participating in this reading God has shown me how important my time with Him is. Keep up the good work!

I am proud of you. You have more determination than anybody I know. You know that with God on your side you can do anything. Isn't that what we have been reading about? You got it girl! Bless you!

ReplyDeleteI love this picture of you and Rick and the kids! You are becoming a wonderful photographer. The composition of this one is superb.
Lol, I've tried twice and failed. ;p
ReplyDeleteI think it's just hard to get into the groove of the B90 and it's more of a year long read versus in 90 days though I have said maybe do it on my own in October or November or even January. LOL.
I use the Life Journal method and that works along my style. I would read something, it would catch my eye and I find myself wanting to look deeper into the passage.
