Amanda Bennett and The Old Schoolhouse have done it again with the new Download N Go title Rocking Robots!

This study is full of delightful robot lapbooking pages that are a joy to look at. We are recent converts to lapbooking, and I have Amanda Bennett and the Download N Go series to thank for that! Every study has an introduction to lapbooking at the beginning of the title. She really makes it easy for those of us who have never made a lapbook!

I think the thing I appreciate most about these titles, is the fact that all of the hard work is done for you. All that you need are a few inexpensive items, which you will not have to repurchase most of, a printer, an internet connection, and a small amount of time to ready the lapbooking pages. Then you just pull up the kids to the computer and enjoy!

You will watch engaging videos and listen to music. You will learn history and science. You will also cover Math, Spelling and Vocabulary. There are Bible verses and my weakest area of school- Art. (Thank you for giving me art!!)

You will learn about fun robots, robots that reflect the image of robots I get in my head when I think of a robot. You know, Rosie from the Jetsons. But I think more importantly, you will learn about serious robots. I didn't even think about that side of robots when I decided to do this review! These robots are needed for times when a job needing done is too dangerous for a human to do, or when a human just can’t do it. Robots are used far more than I thought they were. They are very useful for our lives today!

I have read this study, but have not been able to do it with my children as of yet, due to other Unit Studies we were already involved in. I am scheduling this one in very soon though, as I know they will enjoy doing it as much as I have enjoyed reviewing it. I can see building a troop of robots for our church costume party at our house next month (of course you will find costume ideas in this unit as well)! As soon as we can, I will post pictures of us doing this unit.
