Finding Frugal- I’m Back

I kind of fell of the frugal posting wagon. I will admit this frugal thing doesn’t come easy for me. I am not very good at it, but have been trying to do better.

I have been perusing blogs, and have recently purchased this book- Family Feasts for $75 a Week to help inspire me to keep going.

This book has a huge amount of tips, as well as some recipes to get you started. I have started a price book, and am recommitting to a serious all meals menu plan.

I do know there are some concessions I am not willing to make. My must have list-

real butter

good toilet paper

Eggland’s Best Eggs {I just do not like other eggs.}

Quaker Oats

Good cheese {I like Cabot.}

Everything else is free game, but these are my sticking points.

Meal planning and list writing helped me this week, but I had 4-5 things I need that I didn’t remember that I will need to go back out to purchase. We bought zero boxes of cereal this week. We are trying rice cooker oatmeal, grits, eggs, and whole wheat waffles for breakfast this week. I also am planning on leftovers as a lunch at one point this week.

Trying to eat clean and be frugal can be tricky together, I am trying to get the hang of it though!

Next week I am going to share my new laundry detergent. {Not Tide??} How about you, do you have any good tip this week?
