Ico what su?
Learning can come in many ways. I recently had the opportunity to review something very interesting. It is a brainteaser game, called IcoSoKu. I was intrigued by this game from the start.
Think Sudoku, that fun, make you pull your hair out to get it right game. It sometimes took me forever. Put Sudoku together with a puzzle game for kids and you have IcoSoKu. It is actually quite genius!
{please note while I ramble that this particular version is labeled for beginners}
I could have chosen the regular version, and when I pulled this puppy out of the box, I wished I had gotten it instead….
and then I tried it. The beginner version is still challenging, and I am glad I chose this one for the kids.
{higher numbers make this version harder}
I want to get it right on the first try, and when I don’t, I get frustrated. I even took it with me while hubby ran in the store. I tweeted when I got it, and was so excited I took a picture from my cell phone of my triumphant moment!
The object of the game is simple-
- remove the tiles and colored buttons.
- randomly place the buttons {you can’t move them once play begins}
- set the tiles back on the ball so that the number of dots match each number.
- rinse and repeat {not an official rule, just my suggestion}
With Christmas quickly approaching, you should put this on your wish list, or give list. I will be purchasing the original IcoSoKu from Timberdoodle for our family. We are big fans of low-tech in this high-tech world.
Either versions of IcoSoKu sell for $19.99 at Timberdoodle. You might want to check out their gift guide while making your wish list, you will find some great stuff in there!
