I have six children, so I go to the grocery store. A lot. I try to fix my eyes away from all of those “magazines” in the aisle, while checking out, and frequently turn the cover over to shield my children’s eyes {as well as my own} from the nasty pictures and words on them.
The other day though, I happened to think about something as I turned the silky page around.
These magazines are all trying to sell something to people who will always be looking for one unreachable {or so it would seem} goal.
The perfect intimate relationship. The perfect man or woman.
You don’t need “moves like jaggar” to have what your spouse needs.
You need God!
A committed, married relationship, where both people are striving to push the other closer to their Father in Heaven will have a wonderful relationship, in all areas. God made marriage to be enjoyable, but we must have the right priorities.
It should look like this-
You see, as we each get closer to God, we also will get closer to one another. The further we are from God, the further from one another. The marriage triangle. {I once read a great book with this in it.}
Where is your marriage on the triangle?
“But grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To him be the glory both now and to the day of eternity. Amen.” 2 Peter 3:18
