Our congregation is at the end of a new construction. Some of our members have come in and written Bible verses on the concrete floor. We kept meaning to, but hadn’t made it over, until now.
For some, a familiar friend,
-verses that we cling to,
-ones that bear our namesake.
“These are the generations of Noah. Noah was a righteous man, blameless in his generation. Noah walked with God.” Genesis 6:9
The first in a long line of memorized books, recited with joy.
-kneeling over Bibles, a dimly lit place we will soon worship in
-beginning writers
-names we exalt
-words we cherish, walk in
-one for the pulpit.
Day one of November- I am thankful for God’s Word.
