Morphology

This week we have had the pleasure to review Timberdoodle’s Game of the Year- Morphology.

What is Morphology?

Morphology is like a fast paced game of charades, except you use your hands to create your word with the included box of string, wooden sticks, colored cubes and glass beads. If your teammates correctly guess your word, you move forward.

You have to be quick though, this timer goes FAST!

Depending on where you are on the board, you may have to use only your weak arm, create your word with your eyes closed, only use a few of the building items, or, our arch nemesis-string only-

I am not always great at building the word. Somehow my team identified this before the time ran out-

{It’s a cat…}

I don’t remember what this was, but we didn’t laugh at my husband near as much as when I had to build with my eyes closed….

Morphology is-

  • fun
  • fast paced
  • challenging
  • full of laughter
  • listed for ages 13+  {we still let our younger kids guess, and a few build}
  • requires 4 or more players
  • loud!
  • winner of numerous awards
  • $29.99

There are two levels on each card, easy and hard. We never made it past easy with our age group playing, and even then we had to skip a lot of them. You may want to filter for content, although I didn’t see anything bad, but every family is different.

I can’t wait to play this with our oldest two and some adults, but even with our age limitations, this is a game we have played several times and is always requested. The Kelley kids like a challenge!

If you like games as much as we do, you’ll also want to check out the other games Timberdoodle has to offer, as well as their award winning gifts.

If you are new to Timberdoodle, head on over and request your free catalog, they’ll send it right out!
