B90Days Week 10

Today Amy asked how this has impacted our lives.

To me, that is a loaded question!

I went back through and read old posts from last year. I found that in week 12, I was extremely grateful to Amy for this undertaking, and shared that I wanted a bigger part in the next round- from the first week!

This time I have been able to be {hopefully} a help to Amy. I am serving on the prayer team, and am a mentor. I have also hosted and co-hosted quite a few of the Monday chats.

It has been an even bigger time investment than the reading alone- but I am ready to throw myself in there to do it all again the next round!

For the fame and fortune?

Nope.

Mostly because I am so thankful for the changes in my own life due to this challenge. I want Amy to continue to have all of the help that she needs to continue offering this amazing journey to others.

Also, because I feel like I am growing a servant’s heart in all of this. I need to pay it forward. I need to help others find the same joy as I have. The same peace. This community that prays for every single reader- not only to accept and finish the challenge- but to grow closer to our Father.

If you take this challenge and apply it to the rest of your walk on this Earth, not to say you were able to read the Bible in 90 days, but to develop a life-long appetite to immerse yourself in the Word, you too will have no choice but to be changed by it.

How has this challenged impacted me??

I am:

More at peace than I ever have been

…more grateful

…seeing the bigger picture and how I fit in

…understanding that serving is so rewarding

…feeling confident that I am loved by God- and can always grow closer to Him

…that it is up to me to get closer to Him, He never moves

…growing closer to God and farther from the world, EVERY SINGLE DAY.

… truly aware of the responsibility I have with sharing the Word with my children, and what that means for generations to come.

I approach just about everything differently than I did before this challenge. Round 2 has produced even more learning and changes than even I could have anticipated, I thought all of that was done in the first round!

I pray that if you are reading, you have had the same experiences, and are encouraged to read again.

If you have never read with us- please pray about jumping in when we read again- we will be reading again won’t we Amy?

You will be forever changed.

“Unless the LORD builds the house, those who build it labor in vain. Unless the LORD watches over the city, the watchman stays awake in vain.”  Psalm 127:1

  2. "…that it is up to me to get closer to Him, He never moves" LOVE that!

I have thought about helping out next time it's scheduled...just to keep me accountable! I'm reading through it to get into the habit of being in the Word...next time I want to not just read it but immerse myself in it...The closer I get to Jesus in the written Word, the closer I want to be to Him in my own life!

  7. First of all...I love your new blog design! It is so fun and cheery. :)

Secondly, I agree with just about everything in this post. This is my first time reading the Bible in such a short time, and I must confess that it is HARD.

I do believe that it is changing me, though. Changing me for the better! I tend to get discouraged sometimes, especially when I fall behind.

You have been an encouragement to me in more ways than you know. Thank you for that. I definitely want to do this again.
