School Year Plans & Jolly Pirate

I sat down the other day to take a look at what I want our schedule to be for the upcoming year. We don't do well with long breaks, and we are going to be keeping a year-round schedule. The plan is to stick with a 4 day schedule as well.

2011-2012 School Year Calendar

We just finished up our Apologia Astronomy today. We are moving on to Earth Science!

Math U See is going very, very well. Our oldest was pretty resistant to it- even though he was struggling with Teaching Textbooks. I guess he is resistant to change. Don't ask me where he gets that from.

We are enjoying the Spring weather so much! We didn't get to go to the park the other day, we had a thunderstorm, but we did go here-

Nothing about this place looks like the kind of place I want to go inside. Remember, I have OCD.

But, my dear friend Kathy assured me I needed to go in and get a buttermilk doughnut. One day I did. *sigh* They are divine! I am a cake doughnut fan, and they kick someone else's behind in the cake doughnut category! I was going to take a picture, but I bit into it too fast!

I am cutting out all carbs right now, so the Jolly Pirate was a last pleasure.

We did make it to the park last night, where we took many goofy photos. Stay tuned!
