Last week was a whirlwind. We had so much to do that I had to take a week off of school. I was somehow able to get ahead in my reading however, and added another day to it yesterday. I think that there are others who are behind, and now that the newness of the program has worn off, they are feeling defeated.
I would like to encourage you to throw yourself back into it! Grab all of the support that Amy arranges for us, and ask your fellow readers for prayers. If you are behind, just keep reading! Don’t set unrealistic goals that will further bring you down, just do a reading, plus a few chapters everyday. Don’t give up! You are NOT the only one.
I will be hosting the Twitter chat tonight, along with Dana Pittman. Please come by for great discussions with your fellow readers, you’ll see that there are many people who are struggling with you. Don’t underutilize the help this community can bring you.
I pray for all of the readers each day. I pray you will be richly blessed on your journey! Feel free to email me, especially if you do not have a mentor, for prayer, or for support.
“Like a swallow or a crane I chirp; I moan like a dove. My eyes are weary with looking upward. O Lord, I am oppressed; be my pledge of safety! What shall I say? For he has spoken to me, and he himself has done it. I walk slowly all my years because of the bitterness of my soul.
O Lord, by these things men live, and in all these is the life of my spirit. Oh restore me to health and make me live!” Isaiah 38:14-16
I'm working on it!! Thanks for the encouragement! Your beloved, ~S.
ReplyDeleteSam,
ReplyDeleteI am almost caught up! I read through the weekend when I could and today I will be caught up! We have a funeral tonight for our friend that took his life, so I won't be at the Twitter, but would appreciate any prayers for our dear friend's family. Thanks for all of your encouragement, Sam!

Oh my, Nicki! I am so sorry, and you will be in my prayers.
ReplyDeleteDear Samantha,
ReplyDeleteThank you so much for your very sweet comment to my article over at Raising Homemakers! It brought a smile to my face that you said you personally don't even have a coffee table or lace or crystal! :) A kindred spirit...

I've been really loving using my kindle this time around. I read while nursing in bed- that way I'm usually through by breakfast. I need to post again. Isaiah always inspires worship!
