Wow, time flies! I cannot believe how fast this round of B90Days is going! It seems like just yesterday that I was typing up my first letter to my “mentees” for this round!
I am on schedule with my reading, and really enjoying it. I love how all of these different things going on in my spiritual life are changing me- for the better. I have always tried to do things with God in mind, but homeschooling has really changed us as a family. B90Days has changed me as well, and even more so the second time around.
We are getting further away from the world and closer to God. I see some relationships getting stronger as a result, and other relationships are getting farther away. I suppose that is the way it is meant to be, but when you don’t realize it is happening it can be a little shocking.
“Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14
I haven’t been able to keep up with my SOAPing, but I am still marking verses. I have been keeping up with my notebook, where I will return when we finish the challenge to study for the next 90 days. Hopefully Amy will be up for another round after that, and we will start the reading again! This challenge has changed my spiritual life so much. I will always be grateful that I found it, and that I have been able to participate with it. I have met some really amazing ladies!
If you are free this evening, I will be hosting the Twitter chat again tonight. Come by and share your week of learning with us! If you need encouragement, you will find plenty of that too!
I couldn't agree with you more. Homeschooling has changed us tremendously. We always were "christians", but something changes when you aren't influenced by the outside world as much. Thus, your verse. I guess when you homeschool you don't HAVE TO mess with the school system, other parents, etc. I have pondered that verse often. It is amazing how you see your old "friends" move away from you when you grow spiritually and new friends come into your life. I think that's how God intends it though :)
ReplyDeleteSo glad that your Bible reading is going so well for you, and that you are seeing the spiritual growth that results from the time you are spending with God. I'm looking forward to doing it the next time around. It is pretty intimidating to think of moving through the Bible at such a fast pace, but I'm excited about giving it a try! I will love having the chance to discuss what I am reading with the others that are doing it too!

ReplyDeleteBTW-Love your new blog design, it looks awesome!
I so agree with you about homeschooling and reading the Bile in such a short time. It has changed me, my thinking and has caused me to search deeper into the things of God.
