I have gotten a little off track with the kitchen purge- but life happens. Today I was able to finally dig into the last two cabinets, now I just need to line the drawers with the non-slip stuff I bought.
Not too bad really- but again I had some stuff we weren’t using, and I was able to toss.
The After:
My only purchase for the pantry-these handled baskets. I found them at WalMart- $1.50 each for the small and $2.50 for the bigger ones. They hold my every morning breakfast treat- Weight Control Quaker oats well.
I wish the cabinets weren’t quite as deep – or we had those pull out drawer things. Until then…
My baking basket. I love baking!
Little side cabinet I forgot about…
And project #2 for the day:
Turning the room we have never figured out to do with into
The Mom Cave!
Before~
After~
This will be my spot to stretch out and do menu planning, reading, sewing….(if you want to see up close the beautiful barn print I won go here)
….count my thousands of gifts
Curriculum planning, I bought this handy monster at Staples to lug around the house with school stuff, so I am not stuck planning in the classroom only.
I am also going to use the space for the storage of freezer cooking and pressure cooking items that can’t fit in the kitchen, and school books I need to study before next Fall. I picked the shelving up at Lowe’s today, and Hannah and I put the two together in about 20 minutes. I left empty spaces, I know they will get filled eventually!
All in an effort to achieve on of my February goals for:
Looks great, love the mom cave! :-)
