A Challenge of Three

I just saw this great challenge on Twitter~

3 In 30 - Making Goals Reality 3 At A Time

It is such a great idea I had to join!

January Goals

  • Make a chore chart, and stick to it.

I am far too type A for my own good, and never make our kids accountable for their share of the housework. I can’t get it all done myself with homeschooling and six kids. It’s time to reap the benefits of “many hands make light work”.

  • Relax learning in our homeschool.

We primarily decided to homeschool because of religious conviction- I did not bring them home to replicate public school in a home setting. I have fought the beauty of other home learning styles in favor of a more textbook approach so far. I have discovered unit studies work well for our family. It is time to put my new knowledge to use.

  • Be more prayerful.

I was doing better with praying during the last B90Days session. I had a strict-Prayer and Bible study before anything else happens rule- that was successful partly because I started waking very early. During the off season, I have regressed back to my old habits. I need to remember that God does not suffer when I am not as prayerful as I should be, but I certainly do.

What three things are you going to accomplish this month?

  1. I saw someone I was already following on Twitter mention #3in30 so I had to check it out. What a great idea!! Three should be manageable, right? I also homeschool and we have five kids. Nice to "meet" you.
