They Would Have Repented

Scripture:

“And you, Capernaum, will you be exalted to heaven? You will be brought down to Hades. For if the mighty works done in you had been done in Sodom, it would have remained until this day.”  Matthew 11:23

Observation:

Despite the awesome acts of Christ, that were performed before their eyes, they still rejected Him. Imagine how terrible Sodom was, and here Christ is saying they would have repented!

Application:

I do not have the ability to see these miracles performed today. I used to think if Christ was here, things would be different. People would obey. I clearly see in Scripture that is not so.

Our Lord was rejected.

I do have the written, complete picture. I have the accounts of these miracles, and written instructions for what I am expected to do.

I must not reject Him.

Prayer:

Father in Heaven, thank you so much for Your Word, for the ability to read and learn Your will. Thank you for allowing me the time here on this Earth to obey your commands. I pray that while I walk in this temporary home, I will continue to learn and to grow. Help me share with others. Amen
