Blogging Through The Gospels, Matthew 21:28-46

He Sent His Son

Scripture:

“Finally he sent his son to them, saying, 'They will respect my son.' “  Matthew 21:37

Observation:

This one gets me every time. They will respect my son.

Application:

Oh, how I pray I would not have been one who rejected Christ then. I pray even more that I will never reject Him now.

The parable went like this:

"Hear another parable. There was a master of a house who planted a vineyard and put a fence around it and dug a winepress in it and built a tower and leased it to tenants, and went into another country. When the season for fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the tenants to get his fruit. And the tenants took his servants and beat one, killed another, and stoned another. Again he sent other servants, more than the first. And they did the same to them.”

And then he sent his son.

“And they took him and threw him out of the vineyard and killed him.” v.39

Prayer:

Heavenly Father, I pray that I will always remain faithful. I pray that I will never reject Your Son. Help me to share as much as I can with as many people as I can while I walk on this Earth. Help me to make a solid foundation for the faith of my children. Amen.
