What do you choose?

Scripture: “Again, the devil took him to a very high mountain and showed him all the kingdoms of the world and their glory.
And he said to him, "All these I will give you, if you will fall down and worship me."           Matthew 4:8-9

Observation: The devil will do anything to gain control over our lives. If he was brazen enough to do it to Christ, do you think he won’t try it on us?

Application: What was the response of our Lord? He had to deal with the temptation of this earth and Satan as well. "Be gone, Satan! For it is written, "'You shall worship the Lord your God and him only shall you serve.” Matthew 4:10

Prayer: Heavenly Father, I pray that I will only ever serve you, and if there are things in my life that are not done as You would have them done, that you would help me to see and correct them. Help me to defend with Scripture, as Christ did, and not bow down to the ways of this world. I pray I always keep my eyes and heart on Christ. Amen
