Follow The Son
Scripture:
“He was still speaking when, behold, a bright cloud overshadowed them, and a voice from the cloud said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well pleased; listen to him." Matthew 17:5
Observation:
Again the Father affirms that Jesus is His Son. The disciples were told to listen to Christ.
Application:
Jesus is the Son of God, His commands are clearly laid out by inspiration in the Bible. I need to listen, by following that Word as much today as the disciples did then.
Many false teachers are present. Many people follow them blindly. The way to guard against this is to be in the Word daily, and learn the Truths that Christ spoke for myself.
Prayer:
Father in Heaven, I want to always follow Christ, and not any who are in this world. Help me to always keep in the Word, always searching myself for what I can do better. Help me to share these Truths with others boldly. Amen
