Less Of Me
Scripture:
“Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:4
Observation:
This was Christ’s answer to the disciples question: "Who is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven?" (v. 1)
Sometimes reading about the great men of the Bible makes me feel just a little bit better about myself! Here they sat daily, at the feet of our Lord, and they were concerned with who might have more position when the “temporal kingdom” was established.
Application:
Children are humble. Christ says we will be great when we become like them. I see it over and over again. We must shed ourselves, and put on Christ.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, teach me to be like a child. Help me to daily be less of me and more of Him. Help me to not be prideful or boastful. Amen.
