I Do, Or Don’t I?
Scripture:
“And I say to you: whoever divorces his wife, except for sexual immorality, and marries another, commits adultery." Matthew 19:9
Observation:
Divorce is only allowed for one reason.
Application:
In our society, people don’t apply this at all.
Marriage is an easy in and easy out. “God wants me to be happy” they say. No. God wants us to obey.
I have never experienced this problem in my marriage, but I can only imagine how crushing it would be. There is a reason God gives us this exit from our vows. It is the ultimate betrayal.
Prayer:
Heavenly Father, thank you for the wonderful man you placed in my life. Thank you for his faithfulness to You and to me. I pray that this country turns back toward You, and can begin to live in a Godly manner.
