The Homeschool Mother’s Journal- Week 7

In my life this week... Things got off to rough start- and stayed there. I was so exhausted on Monday that we decided to trade our day off on Friday. I woke up Tuesday feeling fine- and was hit with unexpected pain in my shoulder blade, which led to the chiro finding neck problems. He think it results from a car wreck when I was 16- 16 years ago. I was so sore and stiff after the second adjustment that I am unsure if I will go today.

In our homeschool this week... It was a mishmash. We got a good bit of what I scheduled in, surprisingly. We started the Earth Science series from Aig after finishing Apologia’s Astronomy.

Places we're going and people we're seeing...The chiropractor.

My favorite thing this week was... Today our 3rd child is 8 Smile Happy Birthday Noah!

What's working/not working for us...Everything is actually going great. First Language Lessons is going great for the younger kids and Rod and Staff is going well for the older kids.

Homeschool questions/thoughts I have...I am so thankful for the flexibility of homeschooling! We have had a few bumps lately and we have had the room and freedom to deal with life, unexpected.

A photo, video, link, or quote to share... ”Stress can be an addiction and worry can be our lunge for control and we forget the answer to this moment is always yes because of Christ.” –Ann Voskamp {emphasis mine} One Thousand Gifts

I have always been an anxious, worrying person. It is as if I felt like my worrying has the power to keep those things from happening. Through prayer, and being in God’s word daily I have improved. I have been doing the very thing that Katie shared on her blog in her post, The Peace of God. I have been repeating the very same scripture.
